Tim Buchanan, Legend Senior Living Founder And CEO, Elected to To ALFA Board of Directors

ALEXANDRIA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) today announced that Tim Buchanan, founder and CEO of Legend Senior Living, based in Wichita, Kan., and Todd Novaczyk, founder, president and CEO of New Perspective Senior Living, based in Eden Prairie, Minn., were elected to the ALFA Board of Directors.

Legend Senior Living operates 18 senior living residences in three states. New Perspective Senior Living operates 11 senior living residences in four states.

Directors rotating off the ALFA Board are former chairs Steven Vick, president and CEO of Signature Senior Living and Tiffany Tomasso, partner of Kensington Senior Living, as well as director Michel Augsburger, president and CEO of Chancellor Health Care.

As treasurer, Mackey will join the ALFA Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, which includes Mark Ohlendorf, ALFA chairman and co-president and CFO of Brookdale Senior Living; Loren Shook, ALFA vice chairman and president and CEO of Silverado Senior Living; Brenda Bacon, ALFA vice chairman and president and CEO of Brandywine Senior Living; Pat Mulloy, ALFA secretary and president and CEO of Elmcroft Senior Living; and Granger Cobb, ALFA Public Policy Committee chairman and president and CEO of Emeritus Senior Living. Comsia remains a director of the ALFA Board.
