If you think it sounds like a luxury hotel, you may be surprised to know that these are amenities offered to residents at The Windsor, the First Coast’s newest assisted living and memory care community. Step through the front doors of The Windsor and you’ll feel more like you’re in the heart of a small town than in the lobby of an assisted living community.
“I think people have this misconception about assisted living,” said Debi Thomas, Divisional Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Windsor’s parent company, Legend Senior Living. “They think it’s succumbing to age. We’re trying to say ‘come and live this lifestyle and truly live it.’”
Once prospective residents visit the property, Thomas said, they’re amazed.
“That’s our point—not to provide a clinical setting but that this is an extension of their home,” Thomas said. “And I think we’ve done a darn good job.”
